28 Days 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Neo Yoga Rishikesh, India

NeoYoga Center, Swarg Ashram, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand 249304

Experience Overview

Perched on the foot of the mighty Himalayan Mountains in the country where spirituality was invented, Neo Yoga Rishikesh sits by the side of the holy Ganges River that flows peacefully through this special town in the north of India.

Students will be learning the fundamentals of yoga and the science of Ayurveda. The course fuses traditional yoga styles as taught by late Sivananda (Hatha Yoga) and Pattabi Jois (Ashtanga Yoga) with Iyengar Yoga and props to bring yoga asanas to perfection and preventing injuries. During the course, a minimum of 48 asanas are covered, combined with the practice of Pranayama breathing techniques, meditations, and self-healing Satsang sessions.

Mornings start early with the rising of the sun and a reviving yoga practice. Days and evenings are filled with more yoga lessons, meditations, lectures, discussions, healthy Ayurvedic food, and chanting. The yoga lessons take place in an open-plan yoga studio overlooking the stunning surroundings of Rishikesh.

During the course, students will also be introduced to Ayurvedic Living as this is considered to be of most important to fully experience the advantages of yoga and to become an empowered, inspiring Yoga teacher. There will be classes to gain insights into the human anatomy and psychology as well as classes on Chakra systems (energy centers) and the Koshas (the different energetic layers of the human body according to Ayurveda).

The course also focuses on teaching methods. These lessons help students to develop into excellent yoga teachers who will spread yoga across the globe.

At the end of the course, students will ‘graduate’ and receive their 200-hour YTT certification Level I, acknowledges by Yoga Alliance USA. A great start to a successful career as a yoga teacher.
