Our 200-hour YTT is where it all begins. This course offers a robust introduction to the Lakshmi Rising Vinyasa Flow method in an intensive, transformational environment. Lakshmi Rising’s YTT encompasses our mission of education, empowerment, and evolution; draws from many traditions; and emphasizes more than the physical practice of yoga. We are where sweat, strength, flexibility, and fun meet softness, quiet, introspection, and self-love. And we work with your schedule! Students can choose from two options: a 21-day immersion intensive or a 14-day immersion intensive followed by supplemental online coursework that can be completed within one year. With multiple durations and locations, there’s a YTT for you! Opt for a 21-day intensive, and you’ll be ready to register with Yoga Alliance as soon as you return home. Don’t have that much time? If you choose the 14-day option, you’ll spend two weeks in intensive study in a luxurious environment, then finish the course remotely—at your own pace, and from anywhere.

Our 200 hr YTT students range in age from 17-75 and come from all around the world. Hence, many of them are not native English speakers, which never has presented a problem. We wholeheartedly welcome all shapes, sizes, gender identities, colors, abilities and levels of experience. An open mind is the only requirement! Our intimate yoga teacher training course group size averages about 16 students. Which consists of some like you who are taking the 200-hour foundational training for the first time and also other students who have already completed a foundational course and are participating in our next level 300-hour advanced yoga program which runs concurrently with the 200 hr YTT. One of the many benefits to this mixed level approach is that some of the 300-hr YTT classes designed for students with more experience will also be optional for you to attend if you so desire. A bonus for the eager student.
Since we always have such a diverse group at our 200 hr YTT’s, there is subsequently a wide range in the knowledge, understanding and experience that each person shows up with. So we meet you where you are! Furthermore, it is actually advantageous to have all levels of fitness, diverse abilities and physical limitations in the classroom. This gives us a perfect snapshot of reality which we use to learn and understand how to adapt one’s yoga practice to match the unique needs of each unique individual. The more variety we have within each group, the more we learn and grow. Markedly, the Lakshmi Rising yoga training course emphasizes accessibility and an individualized approach to yoga. Rest assuredly, you don’t need to do any fancy or complicated asana poses to be a great yoga teacher.
You will be served three organic gourmet vegetarian meals each day, unlimited organic shade-grown Costa Rican coffee, an assortment of teas, and fresh fruit for snacking included in the price. Nutrition is more than just feeding the physical body. The talented plant-based chef creates three unforgettable Gaia gourmet vegetarian or vegan meals per day inspired by the world’s greatest cuisines. Healthy organic food is artistically crafted to please all of the senses. Meals are designed around the seasons using Ayurvedic principles while incorporating the best and freshest local ingredients, herbs, and spices.
They procure and serve all organic produce from local family farms. The meals are well-balanced and prepared with love. This positive energy is infused into the food, aiding the digestion process. It is important that you are well-fed and wholly nourished from the inside out when you join this training. With a vegetarian-based menu (and vegan and gluten-free options available), you will be provided plenty of protein using legumes, seeds and nuts, artisan cheeses, and eggs from free-ranging chickens.
They only use whole grains and natural sweeteners. Freshly picked organic fruits make great complements to your dining experience. Overall, this will produce a more energetic healthy body and mind and is the most environmentally friendly diet. They always do their best to accommodate food allergies. They can omit certain items from dishes, such as cheese, dairy, and nuts.
They cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free or nut-free environment. People with serious food allergies such as Celiac disease or those on a 100 percent raw food diet should not attend a retreat. Lakshmi Rising School for Yoga and Wellness must know of all serious food issues at least three weeks prior to arrival. Bring an open mind and allow your taste buds to savor this unique culinary adventure.
