That weekly yoga class soon became more than a physical form of exercise, it became a place to enter, breathe and be herself; it felt like one of the few opportunities she had in her daily life to be rather than to do.
After a few years experimenting with varied styles (Ashtanga, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Anusara…) she undertook her first 380 hours Teacher Training at Triyoga London, under the tutelage of Joey Miles and Anna Ashby with whom she continues to train, work, be deeply inspired and supported.
Soon, her interest in the Philosophy of Yoga brought her to travel to the Indian Subcontinent, where she stayed and trained at the Sivananda Ashram; this time to immersed herself into the Ashram life and further her understanding of yoga philosophy while also exploring other branches of the practice such as Bhakti (devotional yoga, chanting), Karma (Selfless action), Pranayama (Breath-control) and Kriya (cleansing techniques).
Since then she has been inspired by many wonderful teachers and human beings, including Donna Farhi, Sally Kempton, Clive Sheridan (who despite the distance continues to support her spiritual journey), Krishna Das and also trained in Yoga for Special Child with Sonia Sumar, at the Maha Devi Yoga Centre; where she worked as a Yoga Therapist for two years.
Bianca's classes blends a contemporary understanding of mindfulness, with somatic movements and traditional Hatha Yoga; using details alignment instructions she will guide you through intelligent and creative sequences, to create space in the body to breathe and allow your awareness to expand; so initiating the process of self- inquiry and eventually spiritual growth.
Despite what others say, she thinks that yoga is not for everyone but for those who are willing to shift their perception and go deeper into the real essence of their existence.
Ultimately yoga is an amazing long-life journey and Bianca loves sharing her experience with others!
