One of the things that makes the Red Frog so special is the beautiful yoga platform overlooking the farm and the valley. Tucked into the forest and surrounded by the sounds and senses of nature, it is a wonderful place to connect with your body and the earth. Rancho Rana Roja provides a unique experience that combines participating in a yoga retreat with living on a traditional Costa Rican farm. Located in a rural village near the mountains of the South Pacific coast, the property includes 10 hectares of primary forest, a waterfall, a variety of farm animals, and a river for swimming. Enjoy daily yoga classes on a deck with a view, fresh meals made with local food, opportunity for massage, and above all an escape into nature and opportunity to connect deeper to yourself.

After years of using the land as pasture for livestock, our family decided to make changes to our farming practices to help the soil heal and regenerate. We enjoy welcoming others here to teach them about farming in a way that cares for the land. Book a tour with us or visit our learning offerings.
Here you can harvest and eat your own fresh, sustainably grown food on the farm, or we can prepare it in our restaurant, where we serve traditional Costa Rican cuisine. We grow different varieties of herbs, medicines, fruits and vegetables, tilapia pond fish, fresh eggs, and other consciously raised farm animals. We also love to share our sugarcane or cacao (chocolate) making processes with visitors. See our tours page.
We love sharing practices, traditions, and knowledge that have been passed down from generation to generation, such as sugarcane processing and cacao production. We want you to connect with the true Costa Rican agricultural culture. Book a tour or a cabin stay with us.
We will offer you delicious fresh meals made with love. If you have any diet restrictions, we will prepare something adapted to you.
