At Awakening we explore our stories asking God to reveal the broken parts of our hearts, then we invite the Father into those areas for healing. We all have wounds but not all wounds look the same. Hidden in those wounds are messages about ourselves and the world that aren't true. We investigate those messages with God and allow Him to expose the lies behind them. True North will give you new tools to identify these lies as you re-enter life after the retreat.
Come journey with True North Retreat in a quaint fishing town on the Pacific. The yoga retreats are an opportunity to immerse yourself in the practice of yoga, connect with like-minded individuals, and experience a new environment. True North Retreat has learned to go with the flow and wants you to have the best experience therefore we can deviate from the set schedule. You can choose to share space with others in a dormitory-style room or a private queen bed private room. The facility has a saltwater pool, BBQ, open kitchen, and yoga studio and is only a few miles from the beach.

All of our retreats are full of adventure, discovery, and rest. There is plenty of free time for naps, fellowship, and adventure.
The adventure component of the retreat consists of sporting clay contests, experiential target shooting sessions with rifles and handguns, fishing, expedition hikes, mountain biking and lounging by the pool (seasonal).
The Restoration curriculum is designed to expose the empty wells we turn to for rest and security outside our relationship with God. We explore our fears and investigate where they come from. After this initial excavation period, we give our Father plenty of space to restore and remind us of who He is and who He says we are as His sons.
Our weekend retreats are focused on soul care. We believe it is imperative for men to step away from the distractions of this world to spend time in a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Too often we try to fit God into our daily routine. We check the box with a devotional or say a quick prayer, but are we giving Him a chance to respond? We believe a true relationship flows two ways. If we are to experience the intimacy of our relationship with God, we must pray and make room to hear. True North is a ministry created to provide that space.
We are in the process of developing a weekend centered around fathers with sons between the ages of 10 to 15. This curriculum will be centered around honest conversations and fun experiential activities.
For fathers with adult sons, we recommend signing up together for either the Awakening or Restore Retreat. We have witnessed numerous father-son relationships deepen and grow during those programs.
