The tour is created in a way that supports Moroccan people and communities. Rather than the tourist industry, you will be in great hands.
This tour has been a success many times before and started as an eight-day journey, over time transforming to become the most magical it possibly could be in the time you have. With much feedback, it is completely life-altering. People will be joining from previous trips, they enjoyed the experience. Adventure awaits. This trip offers you time to come home to your sacred body and gift your nervous system space to recalibrate and heal through practices and sharing that help you embody your true nature.
All breakfasts and dinners as well as plenty of bottled water, the odd pot of Moroccan tea, and some nibbles along the way are included in the price except for one evening meal out and the dinner on the departure day. Most dinners will offer an array of dishes and often be three courses. Each day will offer time and a place to be and share lunch. Some days you may order as a group to share several things or a set menu and split the costs.
On other days, you may wish to order your own lunch items or menu or maybe even just a snack and drink. This is completely up to you. Lunch costs in the past have usually been between 6 and 10 GBP on average, depending on what you go for. Meat options (as this is a big part of the Moroccan diet, especially in the mountains and desert) will also be available for lunch and dinner for those that wish for it.
It will be halal and fresh, and the animal will usually have had a good life. Please note that the dietary requirements and allergies can be catered for, but some accommodations are remote and your meals are cooked by locals in a traditional way with seasonal ingredients and plenty of delicious flavors so not all intolerances will have the usual replacements, for example like gluten-free bread is unlikely to exist, etc.
Something else worth noting is although the food and meals will change from place to place, it can become a little repetitive as most places will offer healthy, locally sourced, and handmade traditional food, and you will see many of the same things pop up throughout 10 days. This will include lots of Morrocan salads, veg soups, couscous, tagines, Berber omelets, and other items. Bottled water will be provided throughout and breakfasts will offer tea, coffee, and juice.
Some extras such as pots of Moroccan mint tea will be included at some stops, but in general, all drinks will be your choice and yours to pay for, whether this be in a restaurant on evenings out or in the riads and hotels you stay in. If people are getting drinks at hotels and riads, you are able to pay as and when you order, you are usually able to add them to a tab on your room number and will be reminded to pay this off before leaving the place. For those of you that enjoy alcohol, many places will offer some, but not all (desert camps).
