Throughout the façade and interiors of Vileen, we have paid tribute to Uttarakhand’s rich heritage of artistry by integrating traditional architectural elements… whether it’s our sloping roofs, wooden railings, stone wall carvings, elaborate guestroom doors or our feature wall in the reception area.
Reception Wall: This ornate backdrop is inspired by classical doors found throughout the villages of Uttarakhand, most prominently in the Kumaon region. It features an intricate wooden carving art called Likhai, the Kumaoni word for 'wood carving'. An intrinsic part of the hill architecture of Kumaon, the art of Likhai is a disappearing craft, and this spectacular wall is our homage to it.

The interior thematic of each suite and duplex is inspired by the flora of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, while the carvings on the guestroom doors are inspired by traditional ‘Likhai’ woodcraft designs found in Uttarakhand villages.
