Mahi Yoga has got 3 retreat centres located in India and one of them is founded in the town of Rishikesh in the north, where the sacred Ganges River flows down from the majestic Himalaya Mountains. Rishikesh is known as the ‘World Capital of Yoga’ and it was also the town where The Beatles came in 1968, to retreat in the now closed Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Ashram. Rishikesh is a special place with a natural spiritual ambiance.
The founder of the Mahi Yoga Center Rishikesh is Guru Mahi, an inspiring yogi born in an authentic yogi family. Starting practicing yoga at the age of 11, Guru Mahi has got many years of experience, not only in yoga practice but also the holistic ‘vedic way of living’. Together with his team of certified and dedicated yoga teachers, excellent new yoga teachers are trained here to spread the science of yoga worldwide. The Mahi Yoga Center Rishikesh is a registered yoga school under the Indian government and they are certified by Yoga Alliance USA.
Students of the yoga teacher training will be staying at Hotel Raj Palace in the heart of Rishikesh. The rooms are perfectly comfortable, fitted with a double or twin beds, AC a TV and wardrobes. Each room is adjoined by a private en-suite bathroom equipped with a hot shower. Students can also find their own accommodation, USD $100 will be deducted from the total payment.
