Akhanda Yoga Ananad Prakash Yoga Ashram Rishikesh is located in Tapovan on a headland above the banks of the Ganga. Tapovan ("Forest of Yogis") is considered to be the gateway of the Himalayas.
This Yoga Ashram cum Yoga Training center was co-founded by Yogrishi Vishvketu in 2007 who believes in the traditional and the holistic approach to Yoga, it is with this ideology he created Akhanda Yoga a complete and balanced practice including asana, pranayama, relaxation, mantra and meditation as well as discussions and readings on the yogic lifestyle and yoga philosophy.
The yoga ashram is also a charitable trust, supporting the local community. They conduct Yoga retreats, 100 hours Yoga Teacher Training Certification Course Program (TTC), 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training Certification Course Program (TTC), 300 hours Yoga Teacher Training Certification Course Program (TTC), 500 hours Yoga Teacher Training Program and 1000 hours Yoga Teacher Training Program.

Accommodation is provided on sight in the Yoga Ashram in Tapovan. The yoga ashram has 14 double rooms and 7 triple rooms. All the rooms come with single beds with comfortable and seasonal bedding. Every room has an adjoining bathroom with Western toilet with hot and cold water.
The Yoga Ashram has two yoga halls the Patanjali Sadhana Hall (1300 square feet) on the lower level, and the main, Nataraj Yoga Hall (1900 square feet) on the third floor. The main hall has a wooden floor and a vaulted bamboo ceiling, creating a clean, authentic and natural space for yoga practice. Each hall is supplied with pillows, bolsters and yoga mats.
The Yoga Ashram also has a functioning library and sitting where one can find books in English, Hindi and Japanese on Yoga and spirituality.
By Air:
The nearest international airport is New-Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. For those who choose to continue their way by air, there are currently domestic flights to nearby Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport. From there it is less than 45minute drive by taxi to Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram.
By Train:
The closest train stations is Rishikesh (RKSH) but there are very few trains arriving at this stations hence it is better to arrive at Haridwar train station (HW) and take a 30 min taxi ride to Rishikesh.
By Bus:
Buses to Rishikesh leave New-Delhi from the Kashmiri Gate National Bus Stand approximately every hour. The bus ride takes about 7-9 hours and buses don't have toilets so not recommended for people with motion sickness.
