Dr. Sushil Yogi’s Bio

Dr. Sushil Yogi was born in Rishikesh, on the holy banks of the Ganges River, in the foothills of the Himalayas. The founder of Chandra Yoga International organization and a highly qualified yoga teacher, he has a Ph.D. (Doctorate) in Human consciousness and yogic science. Dr. Sushil Yogi also has a two year Masters Degree in Yoga Science (M.Sc.), a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Yoga, a one-year Diploma in Vedic Karmkand and a three-year B.Sc. Degree, from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, India.

Dr. Sushil Yogi received his primary education in an Indian school based in ancient tradition - Gurukulam. In this system, students study great ancient Indian scriptures such as the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Geeta and Yoga Sutras, as well as the Sanskrit language. Along with the general education, importance is placed upon daily Yoga Practice, Meditation, Yagya (Fire Ceremony) and services to Gurus (teachers).
