MD, PhD CONSULTANT ADVISOR FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ONEWORLD AYURVEDA AND VISITING PHYSICIAN

Aparna is one of the few specialists in the world with a PhD in Ayurveda.Born into an Ayurvedic family which operates a traditional Ayurvedic Panchakarma hospital in Kerala, India, she grew up observing her father, the renowned Dr. Padmanabhan (awarded best physician by Ayurveda Medical Association of India in 2012), treating thousands of patients successfully over his 35 year career.Aparna graduated with a PhD in Ayurveda at India’s most prestigious Institute for Ayurveda and was presented ‘Jivaka Award’ for her outstanding performance in academics. She has presented on Ayurveda at many national and international seminars with her research published in several papers and journals.Her elds of interest include mind-body medicine, yoga and Vedic medical astrology. She is dedicated to spreading the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to the world. Aparna now resides in Bali with her husband, Abhishek Joshi, BAMS, MD, PhD, also an expert of Ayurveda and the chair of Ayurveda at the Universitas Hindu Indonesia in  Denpasar, Bali.Under her guidance, Oneworld Ayurveda has developed the most authentic Panchakarma programs oered in a breathtaking environment. A team of professionals has been trained by Aparna to deliver the best possible treatments, knowledge of medicinal plants, Ayurvedic cuisine and much more.
