Alex Franklin (Stuti)’s Bio
Alex (Stuti) has been practicing yoga since 2001 and very quickly began to notice its many benefits. After recovering from a serious back injury she completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training course at Sushumna Yoga in Goa, India, with Sonja Appel (a former student of the late Shri K Pattabhi Jois) and went on to teach full time in the UK. She saw so many people who were suffering from back pain and wanted to show them how yoga could help.
She later took further training with Calm for Kids in London and received a Children’s Yoga Teacher Training Certificate. She now teaches adults and children and has introduced yoga in many schools as part of the curriculum or as an extra-curricular activity.
After 4 years of teaching she returned to India and found her Guru Vishva Ji and completed a 500hr Akhanda Yoga Teacher Training. She now lives at Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram helping Vishva Ji with various projects and teaching yoga.
Alex’s aim is to share her love and passion of Yoga with as many people as possible regardless of age, body type or fitness levels. She wants to help people live healthier, happier and more fulfilled lives and believes that this can be achieved through regular practice of the 8 limbs of Yoga. Her classes aim to challenge but with a sense of playfulness and surrender, allowing students to decide what they need on any given day. She finds that the holistic approach of Akhanda yoga is perfect for this.
