The 500 Hour yoga teacher training is an intensive 55-day course, designed to reinforce and advance your existing knowledge of yoga. You will learn how to develop your own yoga practice to a professional level and gain enriching expertise. We invite you to cultivate your individual teaching style and connect to yourself on a deeper level.
This yoga teacher training fulfills all needs of becoming a registered yoga instructor. During the 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will cover Hatha asana, Ashtanga Yoga, Alignment, Advanced asana, Teaching Methodology and Practice, Pranayama, Shatkarma, Ayurveda, and Emotional Blockage® Treatment.
An in-depth study of the Patanjali Yog Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Yoga Anatomy will increase your ability to understand human nature, body, and mind. This is an important part of becoming a knowledgeable yoga teacher.
You will learn how to teach asana, pranayama, meditation, and design challenging and motivating classes.
Our 500 hour yoga teacher training in India is registered with Yoga Alliance. After course completion, you will receive a Yoga Alliance Certification that allows you to teach yoga internationally and obtains a career.
The 500 hour yoga teacher training at Yoga India Foundation is very complex and requires discipline, attention, and willpower.
With small group sizes, we aim to provide a spacious and individual teaching environment. Throughout the yoga teacher training, you get to enjoy a personalized setting with a one-on-one focus. We, at Yoga India Foundation, focus on quality, so we keep our student size limited.
The classes are held six times a week from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Once a week, you have a holiday which you can use to relax or self-study.

500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in India: Course Content
1.Yoga Asana (Postures)
The teacher training covers both Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga Asana. Hatha yoga will be the primary style as the foundation of all yoga. Ashtanga Vinyasa will be the secondary style, taught daily (week 4-8). The asana practice aims to increase flexibility, strength and theoretical understanding of yoga postures. Your teacher will explain each asana in detail.

2.Pranayama (Breathing Techniques)
Regulating the breath helps the practitioner to regulate his/her whole being. In Yoga, Pranayama is used to remove the subtle energy blocks and purify the respiratory system and nadis (channels). You will be able to breathe better and prepare for the higher stages of yoga and meditation.

Mantras are the Indian sounds of yoga that generate spiritual vibrations. Through mantras, you can connect to yourself and the universe. Breaking the limitations of the mind, makes you feel free and at peace. Chanting also encourages a positive class/group energy.

Practicing Mudras or hand gestures stimulates the flow of energy. Bandhas are energy locks that expand the breathing capabilities.

Meditation is the highest practice of yoga and promotes ultimate clarity, concentration and oneness. The daily Dhyana (meditation) practice, will enable you to shift your perspective and reflect on yourself and evolutionary learning outcome. Meditation brings you patience, bliss and mental peace.

Shatkarma starts at 6:00 AM every morning. The yogic cleansing practices (the six actions) are of great importance as they remove accumulated mucous and blockages in the nadis (energy channels). You will be able to breathe much better.
During your yoga teacher training, you will learn all six shatkarma (shatkriya).
Learning about the different body systems improves the understanding of one’s physical well-being. It promotes harmony and prevents injury. Detailed explanations with visual demonstrations enable you to practice with more awareness and learn about the inner body processes.

During your yoga teacher training, you will be served two delicious vegetarian meals per day and unlimited fresh and seasonal fruits.
Our meals are always freshly prepared and cooked with love.
For brunch, we serve dalia, oats with soy or coconut milk, fresh fruits, Indian brunch, Poha and tea.
At dinner, you will enjoy great varieties of vegetables, rice, chapati, dhal pulses, chutneys, curries, soups and salads.
Occasionally we serve sweets and Western dishes as well.
