Yoga Asana:
We teach the Yoga asanas of classical hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa, vinyasa flow yoga. For each posture we will show you how to enter the position, the correct alignment in the final position, the Sanskrit name and the English name, the modifications, the benefits and the contraindications.
Pranayama:
The practice of pranayama is crucial for preparing your body and mind for meditation. Our 100 Hour Beginners Yoga Teacher Training program includes the theory and practice of the essential methods of pranayama.
Meditation:
Our approach to the practice of asana will facilitate the experience of meditation, both in your asana practice and during seated meditation at the end of each day.
Mantra Chanting & Keertan:
Sanskrit mantra recitation during our morning Surya Namaskar practice will bring strength to your muscles, organs, respiratory system and chakras. In addition it will allow you to experience the rhythm of meditation in motion.
Mudras & Bandhas:
In our 100 Hour Teacher Training course we teach the energy seals and locks of classical hatha yoga.
Kriyas (Shatkarmas):
By participating in our Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course, you will gain knowledge of all of the shatkarmas of classical hatha yoga.
Yogic Philosophy:
Deepen your understanding of yoga by learning the philosophy of Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Baghavad Gita in our 100 Hour Beginners course.
Anatomy:
Our Yoga Teacher Training program provides education in the skeletomuscular system, nervous system and respiratory system. As well we teach the anatomy of the chakras, nadis and the koshas.
Teaching Techniques and Practice:
In order to prepare you to teach yoga successfully, we incorporate throughout the daily classes guidance on how to teach others, and to giving you opportunities to teach your fellow students, both in small groups and as the head of the class.
