Arohan in Sanskrit means the ascent of primordial energy. In Kriya and Kundalini yoga, energy travels through the psychic passage (Meridian or Nadi) upwards from the mooladhara (Root) chakra to the Sahasrara Chakra on the top of the head. This process is the final culmination of our spiritual evolution. Similarly, the school strives for the ascent of the Self into higher awareness for its students.
Arohan yoga school provides a 200-hour yoga teacher training course. The course aims to prepare students to become effective teachers with comprehensive and holistic knowledge about traditional, authentic yoga. Apart from the three practical styles of Yin, Hatha, and Ashtanga Vinyasa, the content includes Yoga Anatomy & Physiology, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, Meditation techniques, Detox techniques, and the basics of Ayurveda.

Arohan Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School in Rishikesh (RYS). Learning from an approved RYS School is a pre-requisite for students who wish to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs). Our RYS id is 231188. Arohan Yoga School is located on the bank of the holy river Ganges in the spirituality center’s most serene and secluded part of Rishikesh. Here, you can enjoy the best nature has to offer, such as rare migratory birds, stunning views of the Ganges, the Shivalik range of the majestic Himalayas, and beautiful forests. The touristy part of Rishikesh is not far away, at 9km from our location. The city center is 5 km. All day-to-day provisions are available within 500 meters.
The yoga school is a family-operated institution. The school has an ashram environment with ashram-appropriate rules in place. The focus is on the practical application of yogic values in day-to-day life. There are ample teaching opportunities during the course. The student will systematically progress to become a certified, competent teacher with an in-depth knowledge of Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin, and Ayurveda.
