Immerse yourself in a week of renewal and serenity as you explore the beneficial connection of yoga and the surrounding nature in Greece. These retreats can be one of the most unique opportunities to unite body, mind and soul amidst the stunning landscape.
Your journey begins with a warm welcome, followed by inspiring mindfulness walks that reveal the beauty of nature in all its glory. The yoga sessions, embedded in the picturesque surroundings, allow you to experience the transformative power of asanas and connect more deeply with your inner self.
Flow through dynamic Vinyasa and restorative Yin Yoga classes inspired by the surrounding nature and elements. Breathwork and meditation become tools to explore your inner riches and create a deeper connection.
The days are marked by a river hike to the Acheron Springs, yoga on the beach, meditations and an evening hike to Perdika. Each activity is an invitation to feel the harmony between body, mind and nature. A free day offers space for your own exploration or just relaxation.
The connection between yoga and nature is based on the idea that humans are an integral part of the natural environment and that harmony with nature helps promote well-being and spiritual growth. The elements of earth, water, fire, air and space are considered to be the fundamental building blocks of nature and are also found in various forms in yoga.
Earth (Prithvi): This element represents stability, solidity and physical manifestation. In yoga practice, we will emphasize the connection to the earth through floor exercises, root chakra activities and mindfulness of grounding during standing postures.
Water (Jala): Water symbolizes flow, adaptability and emotions. Some yoga traditions emphasize flowing movements and fluid breaths to embody the quality of water. Yoga on the beach and a water meditation connect you with the element.
Fire (Agni): Fire represents transformation, energy and purification. You will use breathing techniques such as Kapalabhati (fire breathing) and asanas that activate the abdominal region to awaken and direct your fiery energy in the body.
Air (Vayu): Air represents freedom, lightness and movement. Breathing exercises (Pranayama) are a central part of yoga practice and emphasize the importance of consciously controlling and directing the breath.
Space (Akasha): Space represents the infinite, limitless potential. In meditation, reference is often made to the space inside and outside the body to promote a sense of spaciousness and connection.
During the yoga and hiking week, you will go through and experience these elements in connection with nature in order to return to everyday life strengthened with inner harmony.
Fans of Greek cuisine will of course get their money's worth during the retreat. In the morning, you can fortify yourself with a breakfast buffet with fresh Greek mountain tea, porridge, fruit salad, local fruits and vegetables, yogurt, olives, bread and vegetarian toppings/spreads. The kitchen team will also enchant you with daily changing Greek pastries and lovingly prepared sweet and savory egg dishes.
In the evening, you can enjoy Greek and international cuisine. Therefore, the large kitchen should be fully prepared, depending on the base and the local food.
Enjoy nature and Greek cuisine in the immediate vicinity of the hotel right by the sea, for example in taverns with Greek specialties and fresh seafood, and let yourself be captivated by the Greek warmth.
