The desert is the place where the sun comes up you can not tell where heaven stops and the earth begins. Experience yoga and mindfulness like never before. Morocco is a land of contrasts and endless possibilities. With breathtaking landscapes, bustling souks, and labyrinthine medinas, there is something new to discover around every corner.
Day 1 Marrakech
You will be picked up at Marrakech airport, taken to the riad and here you can make initial contacts with the city of Marrakech
At 15:00, you can take part in the first cooking workshop, get to know the simple yet healthy Moroccan cuisine
18:00 Welcome circle, slow flow practice and intention setting.
Group dinner and get together. Overnight stay in a beautiful riad in the medina.
Day 2: Marrakech
Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou
07:30 - 09:00 Meditation/pranayama/morning Vinyasa flow yoga
After breakfast will be the start of the private desert tour from Marrakech by 4WD with driver-guide to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou.
Drive through the High Atlas Mountains with the highest main road pass in Morocco (2260m) and enjoy the stunning nature and lush valleys of traditional Berber villages, We take the route to Telouet (to Kasbah Glaoui) and then follow the course of the beautiful Ounila Valley to explore the to reach Ait Benhaddou.
There, spend the first night in the Kasbah. Evening practice, dinner and overnight in a Kasbah hotel.
Day 3: Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Agdz
After breakfast, visit Ait Ben Haddou and let Rachid show and explain everything before the tourist rush. Back at the riad, we will practice Vinyasa by the pool from 13:00 to 14:30
After that if you like you are welcome to have lunch here and from there, we then cross the gorges and reach 1700 meters altitude from where the panorama of the legendary Draa Valley unfolds.
Once in Agdz, it is worth visiting the village of the blacks and the Tamnougalt ksar.
Arrive at the hotel in Agdz in the early evening. Dinner and overnight in a Kasbah hotel.
Day 4: Zagora – Tamegroute – M'hamid – Erg Chigaga
07:30 - 09:00 Meditation/pranayama/Vinyasa flow yoga
After breakfast, a dusty terrain takes you to the local prehistoric rock carvings at Foum Chennai before we continue the trail to Zagora to discover the nearby village of Amezrou and its Jewish heritage, the old mudbrick synagogue and silver jewelry crafts. The kilns of Tamegroute poured the emerald green glaze so easily recognized on mosque tiles, crockery and pots throughout Morocco.
The nearby Nassiriya Library contains, among other things, a 10-year-old golden Koran as well as various treaties on astronomy, medicine and Arabic poetry.
Before leaving the asphalt behind and face the Sahara, they recommend visiting a traditional ksour and having lunch in Mhamid. From Mhamid, you will reach the dunes of Erg Chigaga via different types of desert.
Dinner and accommodation is in a private luxury camp in the desert.
Day 5: Erg Chigaga
Sunrise meditation and breakfast awaits you. At around 10:00, you will ride camels for about 2 hours to the sacred oasis of Laalag.
Desert Flow Yoga awaits you there, followed by a picnic.
The driver will take you to some local nomads to learn about their lifestyle and connect with them while you share a cup of tea.
You will also visit the sacred oasis of Oum Laalag followed by a picnic lunch.
Dinner and accommodation are the same as the night before.
Day 6: Erg Chigaga Foum Zguid – Tazenakht – Taroudant
Get up early in the morning to admire the sunrise, move and activate our bodies, mediate and walk through the dunes.
After breakfast, drive towards Hamada (rocky desert), where you will cross the dry Lake Iriki. Here you can have tea with the nomads, after that, make your way to Foum Zguid and there you will have a lunch break.
Take the route west to the village of Tazenakht which is famous for the wide range of Berber carpets.
In the late afternoon, you will reach Taroudant.
Evening Slow Flow to Yin, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Taroudant – Agadir – Marrakesh
07:30 – 09:00 Meditation/pranayama/Yoga flow practice.
After breakfast the tour goes through the city walls and rummage in the south for the best argan oil or honey in Morocco.
Drive towards Marrakech, making a stopover in the Bach city of Adagir.
Afterwards, continue on the highway, reach Marrakech in the late afternoon and there you will spend the last night in a Riad in the medina including dinner.
Day 8: Marrakesh
Closing morning practice.
If time permits today after breakfast, try to catch up on things you may have missed earlier in Marrakech.
The driver will bring you to the airport two hours before departure time. The trip ends here.
