From the tropical paradise we like to call home, Surf and yoga Mirissa invites you to release and disconnect from your daily routine.Here you will find lush palm trees, fresh coconuts and dreamy waves.
We are located in the town of Mirissa, on the south coast of Sri Lanka. Surrounded by a jungle of palm trees and fine sand it forms a stunning crescent beach, making it the perfect getaway for everyone. Some of the main Southern surf spots are just minutes away from your doorstep, a real treat for surfers.
We also propose Yoga lessons/packages in an outdoor environment, as we believe the connection between mind and body is essential. We offer you a soul enriching experience throughout your stay, where you can discover and grow on both the inside and outside.
7.30 and 10.30 a.m. - Surf & Yoga Mirissa
4.30 p.m. - beautiful sunset yoga class
During this program, you will enjoy surf lessons with certified ISA Level 1 surf instructors. The yoga sessions will be led by Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructors.
Jungle Yoga Shala
Surf & Yoga Mirissa has a beautiful jungle yoga shala where you can practice on your own, and also they have daily yoga classes at 7.30 and 10.30 a.m. in the jungle, 4.30 p.m. beautiful sunset yoga class on the palm tree hill, and night meditation class on the rooftop.
Surf & Yoga Mirissa offers regular mat yoga and Aerial yoga classes. All the teachers are Yoga Alliance certified. The teachers change on a regular basis, always giving a fresh energy every time for the yogi side of things.
Waves
The reason to run our surf camp in South Sri Lanka is because of the consistency of the surf as well as its favorable weather and winds. It rarely gets big and it rarely gets flat. There is always soft, friendly white water on the inside for building confidence on specific board skills and typically smooth, unbroken waves each morning, perfect for more experienced guests and level 2-3 surfers wishing to challenge themselves.
Surfing lesson
Simply put, Surf & Yoga Mirissa sticks to an upper limit of 1:4 instructors to students ratio. Also, it’s important to note that Surf & Yoga Mirissa does not mix ability levels, therefore you will feel more comfortable with your instructions.
