Lalitā House Yoga Camp is a cozy family Guest House in Ericeira, placed very close to the ocean. It is run by Monica and Adriano, a community-oriented, mindful living family. Here, you can relax, find good energy, and reconnect with yourself. You won’t be only a guest, you will turn into a friend and part of the family. Everyone is welcome; all shapes and sizes and all levels of yoga practitioners - beginners included. During your stay, you will be offered an authentic, traditional retreat to start or continue a strong relationship with yoga and understand the real aim of this discipline.

The Traditional Yoga Retreat is based on the classical Ashram program and concept of approaching or deepening the knowledge of Yoga; this will naturally lead you to introduce the Yogic lifestyle to your daily routine.
You can expect enriching traditional Hatha Yoga studies, during which you will explore the following learnings:
Āsana: a balanced series of technical moves, as a physical and spiritual self-consciousness
Ṣaṭkarma: traditional Hatha Yoga physiological, organic purification exercises
Prānāyāma: different types of breathing to relax the mind and energize the body
Dharana and Dhyāna: concentration and meditation are essential for a healthy practice and to focus on your daily life
Yoganidrā: relaxation sessions between wakefulness and deep sleep, essential to establish energies and set life goals.
You also will have plenty of free time in between the Yoga program to visit the nearby cliffs and beaches, to explore the fishermen town of Ericeira (European World surfing reserve) or the historical city of Sintra (World cultural Heritage Site), for surfing, hiking, bouldering or just relax and enjoy your free time.
At the retreat you will be offered proper food: balance, healthy, pure. Nutrition is not just about what we eat, it’s also about how, where, and who we eat with. We follow the Yogic diet called Sattvic with simple vegetarian dishes made with love which includes seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and dairy products. We also propose many delicious vegan options.
The retreat hosts a small group to keep the cozy, familiar environment of our Home.
The course consists of studying the traditional techniques described in the old yoga manuals following the path of the Vedanta values. The classes are based on the studying and execution of traditional mantras, the daily practice of Ṣaṭkarma (organic cleaning), asanas (postures), pranayama (vital energy expansion exercises), and yoga Nidra (conscious relaxation).
These are always accompanied by the learning of practical steps and spiritual benefits of meditation (Dhyana), explanation of classic yoga philosophy, and reading of ancient texts.
Study sheets, cleansing tools, and asana practice materials (such as mats, boosters, blankets, and blocks) are provided to all the students. The meditation and practices are made both outdoors in the garden and in the yoga shala, depending on weather conditions and group needs.
At the retreat, you can also enjoy vegetarian fresh meals made with love. The team of the Lalit? House Yoga Camp takes care of preparing a balanced brunch, simple and natural.
The food is lacto-vegetarian with many vegan options. On the table, you will always find fresh fruits and vegetables from the local farms and possibly organic, same for legumes, whole grains, local cheeses, and yogurt.
They offer a plant-based dinner typically composed of an entrance, main dish and dessert. Fresh fruits and herbal tea are available all day long. In case of special dietary requirements, they can easily make the necessary arrangements for you.
