A typical week is filled with a mix of yoga, meditation, and dance along with alternative activities to connect with nature, such as hiking ancient trails across the island's virgin farmlands or kayaking to more isolated sandy beaches.
With the utmost respect to the natural ecology, accommodations are restored
Kathikies (traditional Greek stone farmhouses) that date back hundreds of years,
merging into the hill’s rocky habitat and overlooking an endless ocean view.
The interiors are whitewashed and wood-toned, peaceful, beautiful, and light-filled. Locally produced and traditionally designed towels, pareos, robes, and soaps are provided in the en suite amenities along with a private veranda and outdoor shower.

Cooking Facilities
The cooking facilities consist of both a world-class indoor kitchen and a handmade outdoor stone grill and taboon, which bring to life dishes that are a passionate meeting point between ancient/traditional and modern upscale cooking techniques. Both kitchens are open spaces that allow guests to feel as though they are stepping into a Greek grandmama’s home, from smelling the aromas throughout the house to taking part and learning from the cooks themselves.
Greek Feasts
Through mouth-watering flavors and friendship a coming together of abundance and gratitude is formed. This shared rejoice, around a large wooden table, is an inseparable part of Greek culture and the Kea Retreat experience.
The Chef
Uriel is the youngest of Zviki and Anat&rsquo's two sons, and one could say he is our “in-house” artist.
From a very young age Uriel found a passion in art, beginning with painting and music and expanding into product design and culinary arts.
His involvement in the family’s restaurant business over the years, including opening and managing a number of the group's concepts, eventually led him to pick up his knife and enter the kitchen, delving into the world of cooking / culinary arts.
Throughout the past 7 years, Uriel completed extensive studies in farm-to-table culinary arts at the International Culinary Center in NYC and has spent time working at a number of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants – Noma, Ikoyi, Amass, Estela, and Blue Hill.
Today, Uriel pours his passion for and acute knowledge in cooking into Kea Retreat, managing the kitchen and farm with the intention to fill guests’ hearts and souls with unique, flavorful, and abundant culinary experiences.
