We are first and foremost a lifestyle retreat during which you will enjoy your holiday in the paradise village of Klong Son on Koh Chang island. No hunger and plenty of great food are hallmarks of our program. You will not need to work out boot camp style and we have no yoga on-site. We will teach you how to detox in a healthy way and continue losing weight when you return back home if you like. We have flexible starting dates for you to choose the perfect time for your experience to begin!
At 9 am we typically go for our morning walk on the beach. This is in the shape of a group power walk with a few stops along the way where we bring up our heart rate. Alternately we have other exercises or go to the gym in bad weather. For guests with impaired mobility or injuries, we have specialized exercise equipment.
We then have free time until lunch.
At 1 pm we have lunch which can be any of our filling Keto menus and often comes in the form of a great salad with salmon, chicken, prawns, or other delicacies. Once you have settled into the program, you will be hungry, neither before nor after lunch.
For those who want to learn about keto, healthy nutrition in general, how to continue the program at home, and how to keep the weight off after the retreat, there is the optional theory lesson after lunch on most weekdays.
Afternoons are generally free time and may include one of the many activities available on-site or on the island. Lounging at the beachfront infinity pool and enjoying one of the specially formulated HiLiLoCaaP mocktails in the water at the west side of the pool bar is also an option.
In the evenings, usually at 7 pm dinner is served. You will be surprised at the variety and the gourmet factor of the food that can be served under this substantial weight loss regime.
During dinner or after at the bar, the lifestyle component of the calorie calculation comes to bear. Those who have opted to do so, get to enjoy the equivalent of 2 white wine spritzers from the HiLiLoCaaP drinks list. Alternately the "lifestyle calorie" contingent can be converted into a "sweet" treat or a healthy snack. It's entirely up to you!
Check-in is available from 2 pm on the arrival day and check-out is by 12 pm (midday) on the departure day.
All meals are included in this retreat and here, the food takes center stage. It is not often that a weight loss retreat will put its culinary offerings at the center of the program.
Well, we are different. Here it’s exactly, all about the food. All freshly prepared, home-cooked meticulously designed, and calculated menus to ensure just the right macronutrient ratios and calorie count for every individual guest for every course of every meal.
The primary reason why people fail at home with low carb, high lipid diets is because these are really very tricky nutrition plans. All menus must be designed and carefully calculated and adapted to the caloric goals and metabolic rates of each individual person. A thorough understanding of the topic and nutrition science knowledge, in general, is required to design and calculate real ketogenic meals.
At home, people often fail due to this overwhelming and time-intensive task. Precisely weighing all ingredients and cooking exactly according to individually calculated menus is an effort that most working people do not have the time for, next to their day job.
Unfortunately, many ketogenic recipe books are more low carb than keto and are often called “keto-friendly”. With such "keto-friendly" recipes, you can neither enter into nor stay in ketosis, rendering all your effort obsolete.
If you like, we will teach you how to design and calculate such menus during your stay with us. We will also introduce you to some life hacks to help you manage your weight better after the program.

As we have stated before, we see this type of nutrition plan as a dietary intervention for a specific goal, for a restricted period of time, and not as a permanent lifestyle. What to eat after your retreat, is also part of the theoretical knowledge we will provide to you during the program, should you wish to participate in the theory lessons and discussions.
We try to incorporate local Thai food adapted to our macronutrient ratios as much as possible. You can therefore be assured that the menus will not get boring over time even if you stay with us for an extended period.

The local Koh Chang team plays Beach Cricket in front of Shambhala every Thursday and Sunday as of 15h30. Come and join or just watch. Note: we host an annual Beach Cricket Tournament every year in late August.
The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled. The rest of the payment should be paid 16 days before arrival.
