She teaches the methods of The Class as well as The 360 Emergence. She offers both 1:1 and group containers to support people in coming home to their body, their heart, and connection with mystery. About our Retreat Practices: Morning Practice: Combination practices inspired by the various methodologies Erin Rose masterfully offers. Including yoga, The 360 Emergence, The Class and breathwork. These energizing practices are designed to revitalize and strengthen the body, clarify the mind, and drop us into the heart, all before brunch. Classes will vary between 90 min and two hours. Afternoon Sessions: These lunar inspired group sessions will be supportive to the nervous system and transitioning from day to night. Yin and restorative yoga, yoga nidra, cooling breathwork and intimacy circles will guide us into ease, connection, and softness of being. Tantric Lunar Masterclass: A 90 minute practice dedicated to "feeding the moon", cultivating an embodied relationship with the lunar aspect of our being. Through intentional yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation, we will bring the mind into its essential state of ease and calm thereby welcoming clarity of perception. With this clarity, we can more readily access the wisdom of the heart and take residence there.
our island home
Our Koufonisi home consists of two beachfront villas overlooking one of the most dreamy beaches of the island. The location is ideal to walk everywhere you want and explore. The beach is just 10 minutes away on foot while the lil town is a beautiful 30 minutes walk. The villas blend harmoniously with the raw landscape of Koufonisia and their large outdoor spaces and patios are ideal for lazy afternoon siestas and reading. The zen atmosphere of the resort is completed with a covered outdoor yogashala and a Thai-massage room, both made with natural materials.
nourishment
Our Koufonisia nutrition is a carefully curated blend of island tastes and vegetarian diet catered by our food experts. The team uses the freshest daily produce from Koufonisia and the nearby islands to bring each meal to life. Our aim is to offer not only a yogic food experience to our guests but also a real taste of Greek culture and community that transcends every gathering and food sharing.
a glimpse of our days
Our days are based on flow. We have a schedule, a basic plan of what we can do, but everyday is different. We are together, but free to be alone. The island is tiny and everything is walking distance, giving you the flexibility to discover and get lost in a new place. We go on adventures, like walking on the coast and finding coves and rocks to dive from, and taking the boat to hop on the nearby islands. Lots of sun, sea, and sun. Lots of silence, laughs, conversations, and solitude.
Our meals will be catered by the best restaurant on Koufonisi Island. There will be 3 gourmet meals per day.
From one of the most ancient civilizations on earth comes simply prepared food that uses the best of what’s in season. Adding a little magic in the form of clever flavorings. Greece’s culinary tradition dates back hundreds of years and has evolved over time to absorb many diverse influences.
Greek food is simple, colorful, and incredibly nutritious. In addition, Greek food has a reputation for being heart-healthy. This is because it uses olive oil, fish, lean meats, vegetables, herbs, and grain. One example is the classic moussaka – a hearty dish made of layers of lamb and eggplant, smothered in béchamel sauce and cheese.
Here’s a little-known fact: Greek cuisine is very “plant-forward” by nature and many traditional dishes have been vegan for centuries. Indeed, the original Mediterranean diet studied in Crete was made up of these classic Greek meals that put the focus on fresh vegetables, legumes, and lots of olive oil.
OMG, if you consider yourself a foodie, you are going to be in heaven! Greek food will definitely excite and delight you.
