La Casa Shambala has been open to the public since 2017 and since then we have welcomed many amazing human beings from all over the planet. We encourage all people who join us to share, to eat together, to get raw and real, to be human. We have created a safe space for emotions and feelings that we may not be able to express in our day-to-day lives. We are inspired by the wildlife around us, work to get back in touch with Mother Earth and unavoidably with our hearts again
La Casa Shambala is a family, and as a family, we have created a story with hundreds of students, volunteers, teachers, and staff members. This story is built on each individual’s experience of walking along a path toward our true essence through the practice of yoga in all its forms.
We hope to welcome you to our family and that you join us in this story.
We want you to experience your own inner calm and let this be the guiding light for your future as a yoga teacher. Our family keeps growing with beautiful souls from every corner of the planet in this never-ending adventure called life.
Nobody knows when the flower will open, but know this: if only one flower opens in the garden of freedom, it will be a beautiful experience for the whole garden. May you be that flower. May you find through the powerful path of yoga; your true essence. If you are longing to take the first step into a deeper journey of inner discovery, this course is a leap into that journey. Our program is truly special, not only for its content and practice but also for the loving intention that we put into every part of it. Our curriculum and philosophy are focused on traditional Hatha yoga. As you will learn during the course, Hatha yoga is a way of approaching life, and the asana practice is only one of the eight limbs of the Hatha philosophy. You will learn how to integrate the empathetic and spiritual practice of Hatha into your life, learning how to exist in the spiritual world and the modern-day world we are all accustomed to. Vinyasa is a more modern form of yoga that comes from the Hatha Asana practice. Vinyasa focuses on using breath with movement, harmonizing each movement in the yoga flow with an inhale or an exhale. No two Vinyasa classes are the same and we will teach you how to sequence beautiful Vinyasa flows that will embody your unique teaching style.
Besides teaching the Hatha philosophy: this course also puts a focus on teaching traditional Ayurveda; the ayurvedic diet, learning about your Ayurvedic profile (the doshas), and using Ayurveda for preventative health and wellness. As a yoga teacher, it’s important to understand the human anatomy and how yoga influences our bodies on an anatomical level, our course teaches anatomy from its more traditional biological standpoint as well as the conjunction between yogic philosophy and biological principles. This is so that our students can understand on a biological level, why a yoga asana practice makes us feel better. Our yoga asana classes are traditional Hatha, yin/restorative yoga, and Vinyasa. Students will finish our TTC with knowledge in teaching all three varieties of yoga classes.
This course is highly intensive and allows you to receive FULL certification in only 18 days. Our small class sizes ensure lots of personal time with our trained professionals to really concentrate on alignment and breathing.
This course also has a strong focus on educating students on teaching methods to ensure when students complete the curriculum they will feel confident to start teaching on their own.
Benefits:-
Give your body a break from industrially produced food! The meals included in the TTCs consist exclusively of organic, local, and vegetarian/vegan foods. True to the motto: “My body is my temple”, pure food provides pure life energy. The diet is vegan/vegetarian and the ingredients are regional, seasonal, some home-grown, and chosen with love. Living foods contain a lot of pranas (life energy) and have a calming effect on the body, mind, and soul. The nervous system also greatly benefits from this form of nutrition.
Yoga and a healthy diet are in harmony with each other. Simple, natural, wholesome, and homemade food that provides the body with the optimal portion of energy and balance, at the peak of its potential. La Casa Shambala asks for your patience and openness about the simple food they offer and the detox process this can create. This diet may not be as flavourful or diverse as you are used to, and for this reason, it can push you through an emotional and physical detox that will help expand your practice.
La Casa Shambala is here to support you through this process and hope you will leave with a new approach to how you incorporate food into your daily life. It is ensured that you will have the vitamins and nutrients that you need to successfully complete this course.
On the 7th day of each course week, students have an off day. On off-days, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are not included. There are local supermarkets and restaurants where students can find their own food. These days, students are allowed to use the kitchen to prepare their own meals.
