A unique location to be shared by all our friends - not only creative writers but artists and academics, people with a project in mind, and those seeking time to step back, re-evaluate or just think in a place that is calm and serene. The house is on the edge of the shore, in an otherwise empty cove, with the most incredible views across the Saronic Gulf. From here you can see four islands and the mountains of the Peloponnese. 'Paradise' is an over-used term, but come and see for yourself.
Morning-
Begin your day with an optional yoga class, followed by breakfast on one of the many terraces. The morning is reserved for quiet reflection and writing in silence.
Afternoon-
After lunch, you can dive back into your writing or take time for a swim, a walk, or simply relax.
Evening-
In the evenings, you have the choice to dine at a local taverna by the waterfront in a nearby village (1 to 3 kilometers away) or take a cab to Methana town, just 10 kilometers along the corniche.
Evening events at Limnisa offer the chance to share your work in a reading session or join a campfire on the beach.

Start the day with an optional yoga class, enjoy breakfast out on the terrace and spend the morning in silence. Each room has a desk with a view. Better still find a shady bower down in the Limnisa garden and write to the sound of the sea. After lunch you can go back to work or take time for swimming and walking.
Limnisa has its own beach. The waters are perfect for snorkeling. The countryside round about is mountainous, wild and rugged, with mule tracks winding through olive groves.
was in a basic state when Mariel found it, more than twenty years ago. Over the years Mariel and Philip have renovated it and made a beautiful garden on several levels leading down to the sea. There are tamarisk trees and palm trees, hibiscus and bourganvillea. From the garden you can step out on a pebbly beach, go swimming in clear water, snorkel and watch the fishes.
The house is white with red roof tiles, with two bedrooms on the ground floor and three more leading off the wide, shaded roof terrace. There is ample living space both indoors and out, with covered terraces and pergolas, so you can always find pleasant places to sit, to get on with your work in peace or simply to look at the sea.
Round about are leafy olive groves, pine trees and giant boulders, backed by volcanic crags.
The menu at Limnisa is entirely vegetarian and vegan on request. Breakfast, lunch, and evening meals are made up of good local produce with Greek vegetarian recipes. Dishes are based on Greek and Mediterranean cooking and are made with fresh, organically grown, local products. Tea, coffee, biscuits, and fruit are available throughout the day. Local wine, beer, and soft drinks are provided at a small charge.
