Dr. Franklin's Panchakarma Institute & Ayurveda Centre in Chowara, Kerala offers a range of Ayurveda treatments for different types of concerns and conditions. The idea of this legacy institute can be traced back to four hundred years ago when the ancestors of Dr Franklin were treating the local population with their knowledge of Ayurveda. Dr Franklin hence grew up in such vibrant surrounding, becoming acquainted with the Ayurveda from an early age. He later decided to deepen his knowledge of Ayurveda by doing a graduation that was followed by a post-graduation in the same field.
He was then recruited by the Kerala government. Dr Franklin worked his way up to become the Chief District Medical Officer. Years later, he retired prematurely and began serving the Qatar Football Team as Physiotherapist. During this stint, he came up with the idea of establishing an Ayurveda centre for the locals and international tourists. Dr. Franklin's Panchakarma Institute & Ayurveda Centre Kerala is the result of his vision; which became a reality in 1997. The centre now is helmed by Dr Sony Joseph, who has more than fifteen years of experience in the field of Ayurveda to his name. Dr Franklin’s daughter, Dr Somya Franklin, is also part of the experienced team, the centre currently has.
