The fundamental theory Ayurveda follows is the need for a proper diet also know as ” ahara”. The term diet has come to meet the reduction of the quantity eaten and some diets also encourages starvation. Ayurveda focuses on eating the right food at the right time in the right quantity.
Our program focuses a lot of attention on metabolic rate and how we can improve our body’s natural metabolic rate. We also place emphasis on detoxing,digestive cleaning and removal of toxins which aid in long term weight loss.
A simple adjustment like starting the day with a hot lime water preparation goes a long way. Through the use of food, oils , therapies and ayurveda medicine and a set routine we aim to recondition the body into a weight loss zone.
7.30 AM – 7.45 AM
The mornings are started with a hot glass of “Kola Kenda” (A Herbal Drink made of indigenous leaves)
8.00 AM – 9.00 AM
Our Yoga instructor will conduct an hour of yoga and meditation. We recommend this done on an empty stomach.
9.00 AM – 9.30 AM
Breakfast (Consisting of local cuisine, healthy fruits and juices)
9.30 AM – 12.00 PM
The main therapy session of the day will be conducted during these hours. Each guest will receive the Ayurveda treatments for the day.
12.00 PM – 1.00 PM
A light lunch of red rice,fish, vegetables and lentils all made using ayurvedic preparations.
1.00 PM – 4.00 PM
The evening sessions will be conducted during these hours.
4.00 PM – 5.00 PM
Alone time with a cup of ginger or herb tea
5.00 PM – 7.00 PM
We recommend you end the day with a few laps in the swimming pool or practicing some breathing techniques which will be taught to you.
7.00 PM – 8.00 PM
Light supper consisting of soups and vegetables.
8.00 PM – 9.00 PM
A chance to read and relax or watch one of our self improvement tapes.
10.00 PM
The recommended time to get a good night’s sleep.
