Here are few words about me. I am Veronika and yoga is my passion. I live in Santorini in Greece. Together with my husband Kostas we manage a beautiful property called Caveland. This is where I have my outdoor yoga terrace. Here I teach my yoga classes and the retreats in Santorini.
I attended my first yoga class in Boracay Island in the Philippines, I fell in love with the practice. This happened in 2009. Afterwards I started my regular practice at Yoga 109 in Shanghai (China)– a great studio of Lorraine Aronson.
Early in 2012, I attended a yoga teacher training at The Mindful Academy of Kathy Ward in Spain and became a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200) . Consequently my certification is also in yoga therapy. Needless to say that this is where my yoga journey as a teacher began.
Having two kids myself made me more curious about the human body and mind, its changes and amazing development. As a result in 2013 I completed Yoga for kids training with Rainbow Kids Yoga. After that I started my training with Birthlight organisation. In a spam of 7 years I completed a diploma in perinatal yoga (pre and post natal yoga), baby and toddler yoga. Over the years I certainly have taught many happy Mums and babies.
Every year I try to broaden my education in yoga. So that is what led me to numerous seminars in therapeutic yoga through Yoga Maze, Yin yoga training with Josh Summers or an Arm balances & Inversions course with Jason Crandell.
In November 2022 I finished an advanced 500-hours yoga teacher training with Jason Crandell.
Mostly what resonates within me during my practice are the words of an amazing yoga teacher Oona Giensen. I had a chance to take a short training with her in past. As she says — “less is sometimes more”.
My yoga classes in Santorini are inspired by hatha yoga and flow. They combine active poses, breathing techniques and centering exercises. My attention is on mindfulness and body awareness. Most importantly, it is your holiday! That is to say, when on the mat with me, please take your time to unwind and be careless! And of course-smile!
After morning yoga we serve a morning vegetarian brunch with a variety of fruit and home-made pastry, all served as a buffet in our garden. On the last day, you have a simple breakfast included.
After the first evening class on Monday, we will go together for a dinner to a local tavern. This meal is not included in the price for the retreat. It will be a friendly welcome dinner, we will split the bill.
Your budget should be 20-25 Euros/ person with a glass of local wine included. This dinner is not compulsory, however, you are welcomed to participate so we can know each other better.
The following food is included. Note, all the food is vegetarian.
Vegetarian breakfast after every morning practice (includes fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, yoghurt, local products from a bakery)
Welcome dinner served as a vegetarian Greek sampling dinner at a local tavern.
Wine tasting with light meze lunch as a part of a private day tour.
The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations 4 weeks and less before the retreat start result in full charges.
