Yin Yoga offers a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga with postures held for longer periods of time for 3 to 5 minutes in order to improve mobility by releasing the connective tissues of the body including the fascia, myofascia, tendons, and ligaments and strengthen the joints in the hips, pelvis, spine, shoulders, toes, wrists and ankles, by creating stress in the form tension and compression of the connective tissues and joints while relaxing the muscular tissue.
We combine the two styles of yoga, offering and welcoming the use of props, variations and options so each individual can make their own choices in the practice to suit their body and skeleton. Yin yoga is a very individual practice as no 2 bodies are the same and only you know what you are feeling and know what feels right for you. Yin yoga is not about alignment and is not about looking good in a pose, it is about what is going to work for you, to nourish you and release your tension. You can decide how your practice will unfold and make your own choices that Yinspire and support you.

Yin aims to unblock meridian channels to encourage energy/chi/prana to flow cultivating harmony and peace, a deeper sense of balance and feelings of calmness and a sense of well-being.as well as organ health. Yin offers a deep release and sense of letting go and brings us into balance when we are out of balance, restoring our Yin and Yang.
Restorative Poses (different to Yin poses offer nourishment, healing and support and we use the bolsters, blocks, blankets and belts as we do in Yin Yoga to provide the support we need to provide complete relaxation.

Yin can be challenging owing to holding the postures for long periods. The perfect complement to dynamic (Yang) forms of yoga but yin yoga also offers a unique practice that is supportive, meditative, mindful, and balancing. Yin Yoga is also a therapy yoga that can support you in healing, by balancing any excess or deficiencies and unblocking of Qi. Yin yoga enables us to release tension and trauma that is held in the body and mind and offers a release, a letting go of anything that no longer serves us and creating space for new beginnings. It is calming and relaxing and provides a sense of well-being.
To complement the practice, to finish a long Yoga Nidra, one of the deepest of all mediations. An effortless relaxation. Yoga Nidra is the perfect end to this Yin Yoga deep releasing and letting go of sequence relaxation, bringing incredible calmness, quietness, clarity, and deep relaxation.
