Making time for you is special and often too rare. Give yourself the luxury of spending time on your needs, and allow others to cater for you for a change, as this will benefit you greatly. Allow me to look after you, as being at your best has many positive benefits for you, and all those around you. Practice yoga in community with others, explore on and off your mat, and get a taste of the treasures that Costa Rica has to offer. With more than 10 years of retreats under their belts, Meghan and Cat have been highly intentional in the design of this experience and are truly experts in hosting transformational group getaways. This retreat will be just the right combination of yoga, exploration, and appreciation of the local region.

You'll wake up to the peaceful sound of waves lapping at the lush coastline, chirping birds, and howler monkey calls. Then, get your body and energy moving with an invigorating but accessible Vinyasa practice.
You'll spend the rest of the day relaxing and exploring paradise surrounded by others craving a deeper connection with themselves. After a deep Yin practice, you end the evening soaking in the stunning sunset and feasting on local organic food rich in history and nourishment.
That is what a seven-day yoga retreat in Montezuma, Costa Rica is like. There will also be a yoga and mythology practice with Costa Rican teacher, Daniel Castro and yoga workshops with Cat and Meghan.
In addition to daily yoga and meditation, participants will enjoy a waterfall hike together, explore the vibrant town of Santa Teresa, and soak up the magical peacefulness of Montezuma - away from the tourist stops.
Leave feeling replenished, inspired to deepen your yoga practice, and intimately connected to those you made once-in-a-lifetime memories with.
The retreat begins on November 11th with guest check-in at around 14:00. The group will come together in a welcome circle and move through the first practice in the late afternoon. Dinner will be leisurely, and participants will most likely tuck in for an early night after their big journeys.
During the central part of the retreat, you can expect to start the day with a morning meditation and yoga practice around 06:30 / 07:00, followed by breakfast.
The middle part of the day will include a mix of free time and group activities. The day will conclude with an early evening yoga class before dinner, so that retreat goers won't be practicing with full bellies.
The last day of the retreat is on the 17th. After morning yoga and breakfast, you will have a bit of time to get yourself packed up. The group will finish their time together with a short closing circle and guest check-out at 11:00.
The Missing Peace Yoga has carefully curated the itinerary with a balance of rest and activity. While they encourage you to dive in fully and experience all that they have to offer, at the end of the day, it is your retreat and you can opt in or out of anything on the program.
You can also customize your retreat experience to be as relaxed or as lively as you want it. You can go for horseback riding, ATV riding, surfing, diving, or ziplining, and on-site spa services can be arranged at an additional cost.
The group will spend a day in Santa Teresa, a neighboring community with a trendy, surfer vibe, exploring all that the town has to offer.
With local knowledge, Meghan can share her recommendations for the best places to shop, eat, and explore the local beaches for surf or tide pool swimming.
This retreat is designed to connect you with the local landscape and local people. It was not made to take you to tourist attractions. Rather, The Missing Peace Yoga wants to provide you with a behind-the-scenes look at the beauty and history of the region in a grounding, adventurous, and accessible way.
A large selection of treatments are available on-site at an additional cost, including massages, hot stones, facials, body polishes, and reflexology.
The retreat includes daily breakfast and dinner at Ylang Ylang's beachfront restaurant. There is something for everyone: vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free options are readily available.
That being said, it is a good idea to let the organizers know if you have any specific dietary requirements so that they are aware.
