During retreats, yoga classes run twice per day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Morning classes are focused on building vitality, and energy and making you feel alive. You can expect elements from Vinyasa, Hatha, and alignment-based yoga, these classes are suitable for everyone and they will always offer multiple variations and adjustments to choose from.
Afternoon classes are a unique mix of yoga therapy, mobility, Restorative, and Yin yoga. These sessions are like a deep release for the physical, mental, and emotional bodies. You will use fine-tuned exercises in breathing along with the help of various props to allow the body to naturally release, unwind, and let go of deep physical and emotional stress and tension.
You can be assured that whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, the experienced team of teachers will meet you where you are on your yoga journey and make sure you are safe and supported.
During retreats, there will be two meditation sessions daily, but you are welcome to do more in your free time if you wish.
The concept behind their meditation sessions is not to just stick to one strict style of meditation or blindly follow 1 technique. Instead, they aim to share with you the simple nuts and bolts of meditation that can be applied to any style, technique, or daily task. In this way, you are empowered to develop your practice with a firm base of understanding and insight.
Meditation sessions will include teachings, discussions, feedback, and journaling. All of which will help make mediation an accessible and enjoyable experience. They also place a large emphasis on not just isolating meditation to sitting on your cushion with your eyes closed, but how you can bring meditation into everyday life.
If you are completely new to meditation and mindfulness, their retreats are a perfect place to start. They practice in an easygoing and relaxed setting with time for questions and feedback. If you are already a regular meditator, then their retreats will help you in continuing to refine and develop your practice.
Although the main focus of this retreat is yoga and meditation, the retreat will still have room for fun community-based activities. The activities include vegetarian cooking classes with Ning, ice baths, waterfall visits, massage, make your own pizza night, and more. Please note some activities are at an extra cost.
