This course will help you teach Yoga with more care, compassion, and awareness. We never truly know what someone else is going through but this short course will give you some tools to take better care of each client that walks in your door. The course is also for yoga students, wishing to learn more about themselves. This course is the first module in our Trauma-informed Yoga, Mindfulness, and Somatics course.
This Yoga Alliance International Course is open to Yoga teachers, or students wishing to learn more about their body and practice. This course is the first module in our Trauma-Informed Yoga, Mindfulness, and Somatics Course.
The full course consists of 70 hours: 20 hours per module (40 hours total) & an additional 30 hours of home study, practice (video classes of somatic yoga), teaching, and self-inquiry.
The course will give you the tools to teach Yoga inclusively to everyone, suggestions to help specialize your teachings, and ideas to take care of each of your students whether you know what is going on in their life or not. The course is also open to Yoga students wishing to know more about themselves or to find ways to help loved ones.
This module focuses on traditional yoga and understanding trauma whilst the second module focuses on somatic yoga and mindfulness – a step towards healing trauma (and long-term stress, burnout, and chronic pain).
It is advised to follow the full course for a more in-depth discovery and learning.
Our teaching style is passionate, curiosity-focused, accessible and non-judgemental. We draw on our years of experience to enable you to teach the people in front of you, adapting to their needs. We hope to light the flame of inspiration, education and motivation in you, to make your own choices as teachers and students, and to encourage your own students to walk their own path of practice.
