Choosing an individual retreat is a unique opportunity in this increasingly hectic and scattered world. Yoga is a path back to oneself, to then better open up to the world, in awareness. La Maison du Yoga offers unique retreat formats: only one person is welcomed, for a "sacred interlude" and optimal rejuvenation. With simplicity, authenticity and spirituality. This retreat is for anyone who is willing to dedicate ten days to their practice, to deepen and enrich its scope.
These retreats are offered exclusively during the spring and fall seasons. During your stay, you will enjoy an immersion modeled as closely as possible to an ashram stay.
In India, ashrams are places dedicated to spiritual quest and practice, whose primary purpose is the return to oneself and interiorization, far from the distractions and agitations of the modern world. Even if they are sometimes very busy, socialization is not the object of such a stay (for that, there is "everyday life"). Also, in India, ashrams are very simple places, characterized by modesty at all levels, and which are not necessarily located in the middle of nature; it is their energy and their vocation to allow interiority that really brings.
Staying in a consecrated place, with high energy and run by people devoted to spirituality, brings a certain turn to the practice (sadhana in Sanskrit).
This retreat is a unique, authentic and holistic dive into the essence of yoga. During these 10 days, the practices offered will combine the four traditional paths of yoga: karma yoga, jnana yoga, bhakti yoga and raja yoga. Postural, breathing and meditative practices (hatha yoga), relaxations, sound baths with Tibetan bowls and gongs, mantra chanting, ceremonies and rituals, etc.
In order to best adjust this unique stay, a telephone contact will be offered, in order to find out your progress and where you are today.
The detailed program for the week will be sent to you by email and can be adapted to your desires and needs.
Group hatha yoga sessions offered to villagers and tourists are included and interwoven into the program (4 participants maximum). They will allow you to approach this immersion from another angle and to meet some people.
Free time is provided for you to enjoy the library which is full of books on spirituality and yoga, as well as the beautiful wild nature that the Vercors offers. The Vassivain plateau is rich in powerful energy and invigorating air. Many walks are possible from the village.
Breakfasts and dinners are prepared on-site, at La Maison du Yoga, and shared together. The food is vegetarian with a vegan tendency and organic. Some foods come from the vegetable garden when the season is right.
Marjorie cooks for you and her; it's just like at home, simplicity combined with flavors from here and elsewhere!
For lunch, there are affordable restaurants in the village. You can also bring your picnics and eat them outside if the weather permits.
