Talalla Yoga and Surf Retreat Sri Lanka offers a bevy of barefoot luxury wellness experiences in southern Sri Lanka. The retreat, which offers various yoga, surf, and wellness packages, also lets one customize if they want to add or subtract certain elements in their program. Talalla was founded by Laurie Rose with the help of her friends and associates. In 2004, it played a dynamic part in Tsunami rehabilitation efforts by creating a Tallala support group. The group provided financial and other practical needs to those affected by the Tsunami and was instrumental in creating two community centers.
Talalla Yoga and Surf Retreat Sri Lanka is committed to responsible tourism and is actively involved in minimizing the ecological footprint on a constant basis. Some of the shining examples towards its commitment towards responsible tourism include employing at least ten percent of the villagers as their full-time staff, installing solar panels for generating their own electricity, sourcing their supplies from the local vendors, protecting the local wildlife and vegetation, establishing organic vegetable garden and creating a healthy composting system for kitchen wastage.
The rooms at Talalla Yoga and Surf Retreat Sri Lanka are of six types to suit one’s diverse needs and requirements. The guests can choose to stay at their seaside villas that open to the views of Talalla beach, the sounds of the sea, and the sights of coconut palms swaying rhythmically with the air. Alternatively, one can stay at one of their luxury bamboo huts for an ultimate glamping experience. These huts are wi-fi free, letting one experience the sights, smells, and sounds of nature in its truest form. Apart from these, the guests can also consider deluxe rooms, bungalow rooms, or big rooms for their stay. Those traveling on a budget can go for the dorm. The dorm is also suitable for a social traveler as it provides endless opportunities to chat and connect with other fellow travelers.
A variety of room types are offered by Talalla Retreat and can be selected depending on preference. Catering for all budgets, accommodation varies from luxurious sea view villas with balconies to the ultimate ‘eco’ experience in environmentally friendly bamboo huts.
