Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine that originated in India over 5,000 years ago and is still practiced widely in Sri Lanka. This ancient system of medicine is based on the concept of balancing the three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha - to achieve optimal health. Sri Lankan Ayurveda uses indigenous knowledge, endemic plants and medicines to create a holistic healing experience. The use of natural ingredients such as herbs, roots, leaves, and flowers are central to Ayurveda, which focuses on treating the root cause of an illness rather than its symptoms. At the Samadhi Centre, we offer a range of custom Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to help you relax, rejuvenate and find balance in body and mind.
