Yoga by Abbey often describe her own yoga journey as a homecoming to the soul, as she truly believe that yoga saved her life. Through the path of yoga Abbey was able to overcome her struggle with mental health and battle with anorexia nervosa. She believes it is her dharma (soul's purpose) to create a safe space for people to find healing and hope, and translate these ancients teachings in a modern way to help others evolve.
Retreats provide a safe space to immerse yourself in mindful living practices, dive deeper into your spiritual practice, journey further into self discovery, and connect with likeminded individuals.
Abbey Morris is an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist, Meditation teacher and Certified Sound Healer.
She sees yoga as a homecoming to the truest most authentic version of herself.
Embracing a yogic lifestyle and mindset helped Abbey set herself free from a dangerous eating disorder, severe anxiety and debilitating digestive issues.
Immersing herself in the transformative environment of yoga retreats and trainings had a profound impact on her own healing journey, inspiring her to host her own holistic retreat programs and share this gift with others.
It is Abbey's mission to translate the ancient teachings of yoga and ayurveda in a modern way, both on and off the mat, to help others embody the highest version of themselves and discard their own self-limiting beliefs.
She stayed at Peace Retreat in Costa Rica in November of 2021 for an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist Training with Kevin (owner of Peace Retreat) and his partner Serena and felt the magic of the spot instantly. She knew in my heart she would be back to share this place with others along with her teaching.
Each morning will begin with Kriyas (cleansing practices), meditation, Yoga Asana and group connection.
You will then enjoy a nourishing breakfast.
After breakfast will either be an excursion, journal reflection, or free time to relax and explore or have spa treatment.
You will then enjoy a nourishing lunch.
In the afternoon some days you will enjoy an Ayurvedic, mindfulness or embodiment workshop/activity. On other days you will have an excursion or special ceremony and time to relax and unwind.
You will then enjoy a nourishing dinner.
After dinner each evening you will enjoy a restorative, yin yoga, or sound bath, group connection, and reflection.
All food is made fresh and in-house by the wonderful chef at Peace Retreat. You will be eating mainly plant-based. Please let the host know your dietary restrictions.
