The cacao ceremonies (led by a local shaman) are native to the indigenous traditions of Central and South America, where cacao is considered a sacred plant and has been used in rituals and ceremonies for thousands of years. For centuries, cacao has been used to heal the mental, physical, and spiritual body.
The experience will include meditation, music and of course, drinking delicious cacao! Native shamanic tools like drumming, feather cleansing, smudging, and sound journeys may be used in the ceremony.
Enjoy two abundant plant-based, locally sourced everyday brunch (following the morning yoga class) and dinner (following the evening class). The retreat center prioritizes guests’ health, preserving the environment, and supporting the local economy and culture. As such, The Travelling Yogi is committed to buying local, organic, and in-season produce.
