Students who complete their training can register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®).
During the course, Yogaji will encourage you to read the four classic texts of hatha yoga, which they will give you as a gift. They will also discuss the depth of yogic philosophy and take different texts as reference. These texts are the Gheranda Samhita, the Yoga Upanishads, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Gita and an overview of Vijnana Bhairava.
You will have days off and time to read. At the end of the course, you will have the pleasure of taking a short written exam, which will test your knowledge of teaching. At the end of this yoga teacher training, students will receive the rare 500-hour certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a certificate that is recognized worldwide.
You will have a daily morning practice with other students while following the rhythm of the Yogaji studio. At brunch time, you will have the opportunity to rest before continuing your class. The Yogaji program can be found on the Yoga Alliance page under Durga-Ji Yoga. Yogaji follows the Yoga Alliance standard and enriches it with their experience. Their goal is to share unique gifts, which contain secrets that remain unspoken while giving you all the knowledge necessary as a yoga teacher.
The food is prepared daily by those who are in the food service. They change the seva regularly so that everyone has the chance to feed his friend one day. The meals are always vegetarian (which implies no animal) meal, as it is very important to practice compassion with animals by not harming them, and to control one's own desire to eat meat, especially for a teacher of yoga. Ahimsa-non-violence means to accept not to kill a living being so to feed oneself. The food is always fresh and made with love by the students. You will be invited to share a mantra before lunch so to celebrate this moment.
