This stay is above all a moment for you! Away from everyday life, in contact with nature and your feelings. A moment in which you offer yourself a space to rest, meet yourself, enrich your relationship with yourself. As part of a 6-day course through the practice of postures and breathing, you will touch deeper areas of yourself. Tensions are released, the body is strengthened, well-being sets in and the mind calms down. The objective of this retreat is to give you back life, strength and lightness.
Weekend schedule
You will be welcomed in Manaska from 4 p.m. on Friday, August 16. Time to land peacefully, visit the place, settle in and let the calm settle in…
You will start with a first yoga session at 6pm. It is a calm session, with a lot of heart opening, to regenerate and erase the fatigue of the week and the journey. This will allow you to make yourself available for the rest of the weekend. Afterwards, you will enjoy Sophie's first meal together, around 8pm.
To maintain the purity of the morning, to promote connection to oneself and to keep one's gaze turned inward, you will remain in silence in the morning. The practice begins from 7am to 8am with a purifying pranayama session. After the pranayama you will finish the silence and it is time for a short hydration break (water, yogi-tea, herbal tea) and a detox green juice (to regulate the body's acid-base balance).
At 8:30 a.m. an Iyengar yoga session, until around 11:30 a.m.
You will have lunch at 12:30. Then, free time… digestion, nap, reading, etc.
In the late afternoon, Yara will be available in the room if you would like to ask individual questions regarding your personal yoga practice.
Then, a moment shared with the whole group, the activity of which remains to be defined... depending on the group, the time and the energy of the moment. This could be active meditations, a practice of body awareness, a walk in nature, restorative yoga...
When the heat starts to go down, it's time to enjoy the evening meal, starter, main course and dessert, entirely vegan, organic and raw, lovingly prepared by Sophie.
In today's society the quest for happiness is omnipresent, but is it possible to be happy all the time? Together, you will create an atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable being themselves, and feels safe to be able to welcome everything: the beautiful, the ugly, the difficult, the pleasant... to feel EVERYTHING. You have to feel yourself to heal yourself.
Your body is your “home” for life, which informs you, which gives you signals. Yoga is a wonderful tool in this journey of learning to feel, to listen to yourself. Yara will guide you in this exploration through different practices of asanas and pranayama. Calmer sessions and others more dynamic. To anchor yourself, to soothe yourself. It is an art to listen to yourself. And then, when you are in touch with yourself, you can really be there with others.
One of the translations of the word yoga in Sanskrit is “union, to unite”. We can see it in many ways, to unite with the universe, with the Divine energy, with God, with oneself, with others. Union, to say that everyone is part of the whole. You are there together, on the same journey of exploration and learning.
Want to escape the heat for a moment? Want to discover or deepen your yoga practice? The desire to (re)connect with yourself, to give yourself love?
