THE TEACHERS:
I am Veronika, originally from Slovakia. I have been living in Santorini since 2010. I attended my very first yoga class on vacation in Philippines, this was in 2009. I became a yoga teacher in 2012, I completed a 200 hours mindful yoga therapy course with Kathy Ward. Every year I work on deepening my education. I have a diploma in perinatal and baby yoga with Birthlight, I attended a training in yin yoga and numerous courses in yoga related to physiotherapy. In 2022 I competed my 500 hours certification with Jason Crandell.
I have been teaching retreats since 2013, usually at Caveland in Santorini as it is the place that I manage as a boutique hostel.
I usually teach hatha flow classes with an accent on alignment and eccentric strength.
ACCOMMODATION:
Our accommodation and the practice will be in Caveland, which is a 300-years old wine estate. In 2011 it has been renovated and opened as a boutique hostel with a mixture of hostel accommodation and private studio caves. It is situated in Karterados village, just 3 minutes drive or 25 minutes walk from the capital Fira. The complex includes numerous lush gardens and a swimming pool.
Accommodation is offered in single ensuite caves, a twin ensuite cave (available if you are 2 friends) or an apartment with 2 single rooms (available if you are 2-3 friends).
Every room is equipped with a kettle, fridge and a cooker. Local grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants are within a walking distance from the property.
After morning yoga we serve a morning vegetarian brunch with a variety of fruit and home-made pastry, all served as a buffet in our garden. On the last day, you have a simple breakfast included.
After the first evening class on Monday, we will go together for a dinner to a local tavern. This meal is not included in the price for the retreat. It will be a friendly welcome dinner, we will split the bill.
Your budget should be 20-25 Euros/ person with a glass of local wine included. This dinner is not compulsory, however, you are welcomed to participate so we can know each other better.
The following food is included. Note, all the food is vegetarian.
Vegetarian breakfast after every morning practice (includes fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, yoghurt, local products from a bakery)
Welcome dinner served as a vegetarian Greek sampling dinner at a local tavern.
Wine tasting with light meze lunch as a part of a private day tour.
The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations 4 weeks and less before the retreat start result in full charges.
