During the training, Yogaji will encourage you to read the four classic texts of hatha yoga, which they will give you as a gift. They will also discuss the depth of yogic philosophy and take different texts as reference.
These texts are the Gheranda Samhita, the Yoga Upanishads, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali as well as the Bhagavad Gita.
You will have days off and time to read. At the end of the course, you will have a short written exam that will test your knowledge of the teaching.
You will have a daily morning practice with other students while following the rhythm of the Yogaji studio. At brunch time, you will have the opportunity to rest before continuing your class.
The food is prepared daily by those who are in the food service. They change the seva regularly so that everyone has the chance to feed his friend one day.
The meals are always vegetarian (which implies no animal). It is very important to practice compassion with animals by not harming them and to control one's own desire to eat meat, especially for a teacher of yoga. Ahimsa-non-violence means to accept not to kill a living being so as to feed oneself.
The food is always great, tasty, and lovely. You will be invited to share a mantra before the lunch to celebrate this moment.
