This retreat is to learn, practice, and teach ancient yogic methods of pranayama, mudra, bandha, and meditation with skilled and experienced teachers, leading to more profound inner and outer changes. Prana is the subtle vital force in your bodies. It pulsates within every cell and molecule of DNA; in fact, every gland and organ pulsates with prana. Good health indicates that the flow of prana in the body is unrestricted. But when the flow of prana becomes blocked, optimal functioning decreases in that area. As a result, you feel stiff, in pain, ill, and cramped in that part. Therefore, to maintain the steady flow of prana's life-sustaining energy,

Pranayama is the fourth step according to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. There are numerous benefits of pranayama, a few of which are mentioned here.
Increased oxygen
Deep breathing goes a long way to enhance the intake of oxygen supply in your body. The slowing down of the heart rate helps achieve the same. It means you take less number of breaths. Breathing can be cut down to up to one-third of the standard rate and induces lowered blood pressure and relaxation of the body.
Blood pressure control
Hypertensive patients have tremendous benefits from practicing yoga. The blood pressure reduction due to pranayama immediately affects the autonomic neurological function.
Balanced mood
The science of pranayama reduces stress by giving the body relaxation. It directly converts into the improvement of your mood. The quality of life of people who regularly practice pranayama is very high compared to those not in touch with yoga.
Weight loss
Yoga is trendy among people as a method to stay fit and even lose weight. Pranayama increases the body’s metabolism and ensures that the digestive system works smoothly. After practicing pranayama, one feels revitalized and energized.
Ayurveda and yoga
The relationship between yoga and Ayurveda has always been evident to those open to it. Pranayama also shows some anti-aging properties. Get younger and glowing skin by regularly practicing these breathing exercises and combining them with Ayurveda – an ancient medical science. Pranayama also reduces insomnia and fatigue.

Yogic diet
A polyphonic diet is a vegetarian. It includes very light and digestible foods to still the mind and make the body light and unobstructed for physical asanas and pranayama practice. Eating meat potentially violates the first leg of yoga (Yamas) laid down by Patanjali (ahimsa/nonviolence).
Protein can be obtained from nuts, legumes, and dairy products. It is much easier to appreciate and get the optimal nutrition needed from one’s meals when one consumes slowly, mindfully, and from source local ingredients.
Thus a yogiic diet is considered to be healthy, nourishing, and fulfilling not only for the physical body but also for the mind and soul. What you consume directly affects your well-being and how you act, react, and function in your environment. You, you need awareness of what and how you eat.
Sattvic diet
Yoga discipline suggests a Sattvic diet for better health and well-being. Quality of Satt increases purity, love, awareness, connection, and peace within you. The yogic diet is part of Ahimsa (non-violence), not killing or harming animals for your food. They believe what you eat, you become. So it is wise to nourish choose and healthy vegetarian food for your well-being, planet, and ecology.
