Created to build and support an eclectic spectrum of yoga and celebrate rich diversity, the Bali Spirit festival March 24-31 2019 provides a space to immerse into all styles of yoga and movement, global dance and unrivaled music in open air venues at the world’s most inspiring music festival.
Passionate teachers aim to enlighten with an array of educational workshops. From yoga and meditation, to dance and martial arts, sound healing and breath work to seminars and Dharma talks. The festival manages to cover ground from the mainstream to the truly eclectic and promises an enriching and supportive experience.
Founded in 2008 by three passionate co founders, today the Bali Spirit Festival is proud to be celebrating 11 years of global inspiration. All three founders share the common visionary that ongoing education programmes funded by the continuous success of the festival guarantee to have an immeasurable effect on Bali’s communities. Pak Kadak, a fundamental component to the founding of the festival has enabled a strong connection with the community, carefully cultivated from his strong Balinese heritage. Robert Weber, a musician and founder of tribal dance band, Susbu Ibu has expertly managed to combine an impressive music lineup with universal love and peace. A resident of Bali since 1992, Meghan Pappenheim has devoted her life to generous endeavors and non profit organisations, her creative group of visionaries manifested the Bali Spirit festival into what it is today.
Complimenting the missions and visions of all three founders, today the Bali Spirit Festival is able to give back to the local community through an array of outreach initiatives. Collaborations with globally recognised yoga teachers and musicians has raised over $65,000 for the annual Karma (Giving Back) initiatives. From programmes in the preservation of Balinese culture, to Project Clean Uluwatu, annual programmes include the HIV and AIDS education programme (Ayo! Kita Bicara HIV & AIDS) along with the reforestation initiative, Bali ReGreen.
This unique visionary continues to help create a beautiful balance of rich culture, a place of inspiration, harmony between people and making the world a better place.
The 12th edition of the Bali Spirit Festival in 2019 will be 7 full days of daytime activities and workshops and 8 nights of music and celebrations. Starting on Sunday the 25th of March 2019 and ending on Sunday the 31st of March 2019.
